Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is one of the most popular green building certification programs used worldwide.
What is LEED?
Developed by the non-profit U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED programs include a set of rating systems for the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of green buildings, homes, and neighborhoods that aim to help building owners and operators be environmentally responsible and use resources efficiently. Because of our custom and project-centric focus, we have successfully supplied many LEED projects with both innovative lighting solutions and waste-limiting packaging.
As LEED requirements continue to make their way into mainstream construction contracts (both public and private), supplying lighting solutions will become more difficult to navigate. The use of energy-efficient lighting solutions and controls, as well as environmentally-friendly packaging and delivery methods, are important objectives in the LEED rating system.
